ACADEMIC ATHLETES - HOCKEY EVALUATION CAMP
Academic Athletes - Hockey is proud to announce that David Carle from the Green Bay Gamblers (USHL) will be at Anaheim ICE on June 3rd and 4th. David will be conducting an evaluation camp for Tier level players in the 1996 -1998 birth years. It will be an opportunity for players to be evaluated by a USHL coach. PRO PERFORMANCE SPRING HOCKEY CAMP
A Pro Performance Spring Hockey Camp, run by former pro hockey players Craig Johnson and Eugene Kabanets, will be held at The Rinks Westminster ICE and The Rinks Lakewood ICE, April 4-May 19, 2013.This camp is for Mite and Squirt hockey players (2003-2006 birth years) who want to raise their skill level. Drills will emphasize individual as well as team play skill development. Players will be placed into groups according to their skill level and availability.
Former NHL players like Teemu Selanne, Scott Niedermayer, Andres Lilja and Alex Vasilevski have visited previous camps and worked with the players. A tentative schedule of NHL players for the 2013 camp is in the works (to be determined based on availability).

ANAHEIM DUCKS LEARN TO PLAY PROGRAM
The Anaheim Ducks Learn to Play Program presented by Reebok is back, giving all first-time hockey players the chance to get on the rink (ice or inline) in full hockey equipment for FREE! Participants receive instruction from The Rinks coaching staff on how to skate properly while implementing some of the basic skills in hockey such as passing, shooting, and stick handling.
The Learn to Play Program is a (4) four week session geared toward participants 10 years old and younger (due to equipment sizes). Each participant is provided with an equipment bag, helmet, shin guards, hockey pants, elbow pads, shoulder pads, gloves, stick and a jersey, which they get to keep during the duration of the session, giving them the opportunity to practice what they have learned between each session. Skate rentals are provided for free at each rink as well. The use of full hockey equipment allows participants to get the feel of skating in full hockey gear, allowing them to experience the sport as a whole without taking on the financial commitment of purchasing all the equipment.
